Sandra, a German writer, is arrested for murder in France following her husband’s death in the snow under mysterious circumstances below their partially-renovated chalet. The trial calls the couple’s blind son as the only witness despite him being on a walk with his dog at the time. The credibility of Sandra and her son is tested as she tries to prove her innocence, and the couple’s tumultuous relationship is dragged into the public domain.
