Three women from small towns live and work as nurses in a bustling Mumbai. All of them have relationship problems of one sort or another. Prabha and Anu feel suffocated by the big city and when their colleague Parvarty gives up her fight with the Mumbai developers and leaves her flat and job to return to her childhood village by the sea; Prabha and Anu follow her there. This becomes a welcome refuge from the crowded city and gives the three women the breathing space to grow, allowing us to see more clearly the bonds of mutual support that have sprung up between them.
